You Need To Change The Settings On Your iPhone Right Now
How much info does your iPhone really reveal about you?
You might be a bit surprised once you learn Siri does not have your safety at heart, even when your phone is locked.
In fact, if you lose your phone, the person who finds it can learn a lot about you in just a few seconds.
According to Twitter user afronomics, when asked, Siri will answer questions such as, “What is my name,” “Where is my car,” and “Where do I live?”
Yes, all from a locked phone.
It’s important to note this is a standard setting on your iPhone, meaning you have to manually turn it off in order to protect your privacy.
In order to turn the feature off, you need to go into your settings, touch id and passcode, and under where it says “allow access when locked” turn Siri off in both the today’s view section and under notifications.
