Watch Out For Shimmers

We've heard about skimming, but now you've got to also watch out for shimming. Shimming is a new way for scammers to steal your information. They insert a really-thin device, which has flash storage, right into the machine that reads the chip on your credit card. Here’s a clue that a shimmer might be in a machine: if you insert your card and it’s very tight. If you suspect something, tell the merchant.
