Animal shelter experts say summer is a big time of the year when people have to surrender their pets. Some people are moving or too old or don't have enough money to take care of their dog or cat, so they surrender the pet. I can't imagine the pain of having to surrender a pet, but there are people here in Tampa Bay who can help.
Just this last week there was a story of a dog being dropped off at WAWA and another of hedgehogs being found in a trash can. So I thought it would be great to let people know, there is a way to surrender your pet to a loving caring set of people in Tampa Bay.
