In a Spokane Craigslist ad, some 20-year-olds throwing a backyard BBQ are looking for a 'father figure' for their party.
The guys involved don't have their dads around, so they're looking for someone in the area to take on the role for their BBQ.
The jobs of BBQ Dad will include, among other duties, grilling burgers and hot dogs, referring to the young guys by nicknames such as 'Big guy', 'Chief', 'Sport', and talking about things like home maintenance, Jimmy Buffett or other 'dad things'. Requirements include 10 years of grilling experience and an appreciation of cold beer on a hot day.
Think this is a joke? These guys are serious.
