The actor whose voice has provided the character to Kermit the Frog since 1990 will be replaced.
Steve Whitmire has been the voice of Kermit, and will be replaced by Matt Vogel beginning next week.
Whitmore had been working with Jim Henson since the 1970’s. Vogel has been voice of characters on “Sesame Street” since 1987 including Count von Count and Big Bird plus some characterson the Muppets’ series. He also voiced Constantine, the world’s most evil frog in “Muppets Most Wanted” in 2014.
