Remember when you could learn karate by waxing a car or painting a fence? Okay, that wasn’t real, but Daniel learned karate and life lessons from Mr. Miyagi in the 1984 movie “The Karate Kid” and its sequels. Now, 30 years later, Daniel LaRusso is back on YouTube Red as the story continues.

The show will be called “Cobra Kai,” which is named for the school where Daniel’s arch enemy in the movie, Johnny, got his karate education.

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprise their roles as “Daniel” and “Johnny” who will resume their rivalry. “Johnny” will reopen the CobraKai karate dojo.

The 10-episode series will appear on YouTube Red in 2018. Click here for more information.
