Stephen Daldry, the director behind Billy Elliot and The Hours, is expected to be the man behind this stand-alone about Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi who mentored a young Luke Skywalker.
This will be another one of the projects set forth by Lucasfilm and Disney that also includes a Han Solo movie that is being directed by Ron Howard. Characters Yoda and Boba Fett are also possibilities to have movies centered around them.
