In the future, we may no longer have to answer the door to collect our pizza from the delivery man or woman…
Ford and Domino’s Pizza have joined forces to test self-driving pizza delivery cars. They’re trying it out in Ann Arbor, Michigan. (Good choice because college kids enjoy ordering a pizza.) The testing will presumably give insight as to how customers interact with self-driven vehicles.

A Ford Fusion Hybrid autonomous research vehicle will roll up to the delivery destination with the pizza. But because it’s still the research phase, each car will be driven by a Ford safety engineer, and there will be other researchers onboard, who can assess the customer experience and reaction.
