Each year, the National Toy Hall of Fame collects new members to be enshrined. Two or three of the nominated toys make it into the hall. The 2017 nominees are:
Clue: Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick.
Magic 8 ball: No matter what I ask, it says, “Ask Again Later”.
My Little Pony
Paper airplane: How long can your paper airplane stay aloft?
PEZ: Do you have a collection? They’re still being made with new characters!
Play food: Perfect for that play tea party
Risk: War and strategy for the whole family!
Sand: From the sand box to the Siesta Key Crystal Classic!
Transformers: More than meets the eye… Robots in disguise.
Uno: Oh, no! A wild draw four, again?
Wiffle ball: You can’t tell where that ball is going!
The National Toy Hall of Fame has been around since 1998, and has been adding toys each year. Right now, 63 toys are currently enshrined in the Hall. It is currently hosted by the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.
