Stephen's brother Eric, who lives in Orlando Florida said he had no idea why his brother did this decribing him as just a guy who liked to gamble and go to shows. Stephen's other brother lives in California and had not spoken to him in 10 years. Paddock's Mother lives in Florida and Stephen helped her by managing apartment buildings. There are lots of fake reports in social media about Stephen's motivation, but if you ask his family, they are "dumbfounded".
