Screen-Free Dining? Not So Fast
A café in Halifax tried a novel idea. Screen-free dining. They posted to Facebook: “Close your screens, meet your neighbors! Lion & Bright is now screen free after 5 p.m….

A café in Halifax tried a novel idea. Screen-free dining.
They posted to Facebook: "Close your screens, meet your neighbors! Lion & Bright is now screen free after 5 p.m. daily." And an asterisk at the bottom of the sign said: "Includes Kindles, tablets, iPads, etc."
Well, customers were having none of that!
The response was not positive. Customers complained that they can personally regulate their screen usage and don't need the café to dictate those types of rules.
Customer outrage was so intense, the café owners issued an apology.
