If your teenager is falling asleep in class or having trouble concentrating on their studies, cell phones may be contributing to those issues.

Lots of teens deal with sleep deprivation and the light remitted from cell phones can interfere with melatonin production, which can lead to insomnia.

Factor in early school start times for middle and high schools, and the problem is exacerbated because those early start times go against teens’ natural circadian rhythms.
