During a show on Saturday night (October 21), Bob Dylan honored his late friend by covering “Learning To Fly.” Petty and Dylan, of course, were famously members of The Traveling Wilburys along with George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Dylan said of Petty, “I thought the world of Tom. He was a great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I’ll never forget him.”
