When the kids head out for trick-or-treating on Halloween, it’s important to know how to keep everyone safe.

Here are some safety tips from our friends at Bay News 9.

For trick-or-treating, plan your route, stick with neighbors and/or friends and inspect candy packaging before letting your kids dig in.

When planning costumes, remember that masks can affect kids’ vision, so be careful when they are wandering. It’s also best to have brightly colored costumes and, after dark, carry a flashlight.
