These Workplace Perks Would Be Nice
We’re known for working our tails off in the United State. (Yes, even with Facebook breaks we’re still pretty industrious.) But in other countries there are quite a few benefits employees enjoy that are foreign to us!
1. In Europe, you can say no to working more than 48 hours a week.
2. In Japan, you can take a siesta during your shift and actually be commended for it. (But it’s only because you’re so dedicated to work that you don’t go home to sleep; you just stay at work all night.)
3. In France, you can disregard work emails when you’re not on the clock. Instead, answer emails when you return to work. They call it your “right to disconnect.”
4. In Finland, you can have a business meeting in a sauna. They’re really popular there so a lot of companies have in-office saunas.
