In an unusual situation, a Pasco County Sheriff's Department pilot pulled away from an assignment after he was blinded by a laser pointer aimed at his helicopter. He didn't fly away, but instead, he went after the man who aimed the pointer.

Pilot Stephen Bowman found a safe place to land not far from the home of Ryan Fluke, who he would take into custody. Misuse of laser lighting devices is a third-degree felony in Florida.
