MIAMI BEACH, FL - DECEMBER 03: Singer Jon Bon Jovi performs onstage during the Bon Jovi live concert presented by SiriusXM during Art Basel at Faena Theater on December 3, 2016 in Miami Beach, Florida. Private Concert Airs Live On SiriusXM's Bon Jovi Radio.

In the wake of its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame election, Bon Jovi will be starting the new year with new music.

Jon Bon Jovi tells us that the band has been in the studio working on a pair of new songs, which he detailed:

“I started the process again and don’t have a full album. I picked two that are appropriate. One is called ‘When We Were Us,’ which is obviously about the band but really a big ol’ anthemic inclusion and, I think, a great lyric that tells our story. And another one is called ‘Walls,’ which is obvious what it’s about, but because of the crazy world in which we live it’s taken a little while to process and put some of it into lyric, so this is just a taste of that kind of thing. It felt like if I gave one from column A and one from column B it could be a fair representation of some new material.”

Bon Jovi expects the new songs to be out during early January, but no new album is planned yet to follow 2015’s This House Is Not For Sale. Bon Jovi plans to play some live dates during 2018 as well.

The Rock Hall induction takes place on April 14 in Cleveland, and Bon Jovi expects former band members Richie Sambora and Alec John Such to reunite with the group for it.
