Rick Hall passed away today at the age of 85.
Some of you might be asking yourself, “Who’s that?” While Hall might not be a name music fans know right away, you undoubtedly know many popular songs that were recorded at his legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Ala. It goes without saying that the Muscle Shoals sound would be nothing without Hall. From Aretha Franklin to Wilson Pickett, many iconic artists recorded some of their biggest hits at FAME Studios.
