Liner Notes (January 8)

News from Aerosmith and Gene Simmons make up the January 8 installment of “Liner Notes.”  Rock on!

Aerosmith haven’t released a new album since 2012 Music From Another Dimension!, but it sounds like Joe Perry is itching to lay down some new tracks soon.

Perry said in an interview with Best Classic Bands that “Steven and I have talked about it and the other guys have talked about it,” Perry says, on the phone from the Sarasota, Fla., condo he shares with his wife, Billie. “We’ve been so involved with other things. I know Steven’s been doing his solo [country] thing. We haven’t gotten down to things specifically, but I really would like to [record] some new music. It’s kind of in that chill time [right now] for Aerosmith.”

Hopefully that means the Bad Boys from Boston will be able to chill in a studio in the near future.

Gene Simmons is hosting various events in honor of his new Vault Experience box set, and at the first event in Los Angeles, he was joined by Ace Frehley, Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer!  Check out the video below!
