Duke Energy has announced they will not be charging customers for the $513 Million dollars it cost them in Hurricane Irma repairs. Duke had planned to pass the expense onto it's customers with a $5.20 extra charge on your bill for the next three years. Due to the tax cuts being passed the company announced they will absorb the Hurricane expenses.
