He sings, he acts, he writes, and he’s been rewarded with plenty of awards for doing so. He retired for health reasons, but he’s come out of that retirement and is set to go on tour again after turning 67 today!

Phil Collins, the former lead singer for Genesis and successful solo artist is far more than just a musician. Yes, he is an actor, but he also has a life outside the entertainment industry. That includes being one of the foremost experts on, of all things, the Alamo. He wrote The Alamo and Beyond: A Collector’s Journey, and even donated his collection of artifacts to the Alamo through the state of Texas, for which he was named an honorary Texan.

His music career has produced 7 solo number one singles in the U.S., plus his music with Genesis. He also has won seven Grammy’s.

Most importantly, he’s still out there making music! Happy Birthday, Phil Collins!
