This Mother on CNN lost her 14 year old daughter and out of her utter grief and shock pleads with the President to DO SOMETHING. Her raw emotion caused the CNN reporter to cry and me too.
One thing I do know for sure is we CAN SECURE our schools. I personally don't think arming teachers is the answer, but how about this idea. Have local PD visit the schools in their area and point out the weak vulnerable parts of each school with suggestions on how to secure it. Then hire retired PD and Military people to secure the school. Armed security and enough to make sure that anyone who does not belong in school can not get in! I wear a badge at work to get in the door where I work. You can't get in my building with out a badge. Students and teachers should have badges and all doors leading into the school should be guarded. Is this idea expensive? YES IT IS, but I for one would give back my recent tax cut to fund this. We CAN SECURE OUR SCHOOLS, we just have to stop talking about it and DO IT!
