Prince’s Estate Releases Original Studio Recording Of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’

Though it was a hit for Sinead O'Connor, the song was written and originally recorded by Prince.

Prince had a side project called The Family, and the original plan was for the song to be released under that name. It was, however, recorded originally by Prince & The Revolution. Rehearsal footage from the summer of 1984 was just released of "Nothing Compares 2 U."
