Farquhar was treated for a brain aneurysm he suffered during a game against the Houston Astros. He has had surgery to relieve swelling around his brain and is in critical but stable condition at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
His family is by his side at the hospital. Tweets of support are coming from around the league.
