FLASHBACK: Cream’s 2005 Royal Albert Hall Shows
20th August 1967: The members of the rock group Cream, (from left) Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton at London Airport on their way to Los Angeles.
The legendary Jack Bruce would’ve turned 75 today (May 14), and we couldn’t help but think back to Cream‘s 2005 reunion shows in London and New York City.
By far, the highlight of this reunion was the power trio’s four-night stand at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded and released as a concert film and a live album. The four Royal Albert Hall shows became one of the hottest tickets that year, with all four shows selling out in less than an hour. It makes this performance of “White Room” all the more poignant.
