Did you see “The Incredibles 2” over the weekend? If not, odds are pretty good you know someone who did.
Exceeding the predicted expectations for it’s opening weekend on over 4,400 screens, “Incredibles 2” took in over $180 million in the United States.
That total set a new record for an opening weekend for an animated film, surpassing Pixar’s “Finding Dory,” whose opening weekend earned Disney $135 million.
This was also the second largest June weekend behind “Jurassic World,” which took in $208.8 milion. The sequel to hat comes out this weekend.
