When you carve a little time out of your day to write, it could help you in a multitude of ways.

1. You may fall asleep faster. It can help you fall asleep faster. A recent study discovered that making a pen and paper to-do list for the next dabefore you go to bed, might help you fall asleep 10 minutes faster.

2. You may reduce stress and overcome failure. “These findings indicate that writing and thinking critically about a past failure can prepare an individual both physiologically and cognitively for new challenges,” wrote study author Brynne DiMenichi, a doctoral candidate from Rutgers University-Newark.

3. Your body may heal faster.
