Elvis Costello Cancels Tour To Treat ‘Aggressive’ Cancer
Singer-songwriter Elvis Costello has cancelled the remaining dates on his Summer tour after revealing that he has cancer. The British musician had surgery weeks ago and thought that he could do the remaining dates scheduled, but the grind of playing every night very quickly took it’s toll. Costello tells says the illness has become ‘very aggressive’ according to the Daily Mail.
“The spirit has been more than willing but I have to now accept that it is going to take longer than I would have wished for me to recover my full strength. Therefore, I must reluctantly cancel all the remaining engagements of this tour.” – Elvis Costello
