At a recent rock concert in Worcester, Massachusetts, KISS stopped the show to honor veterans and slam those in the NFL for refusing to stand for the National Anthem.

Lead singer Paul Stanley said to the crowd, “You should remember, patriotism is always cool. Loving your country is always cool. Standing up, respecting and honoring our military is always cool. So, to show some respect between pick-throwing, we’re going to put our right hands over our hearts and why don’t we say the Pledge of Allegiance.”

In an article in the Political Insider, veteran’s said they were thrilled with the KISS accolades and were quoted as saying, “This is an unforgettable gesture that we’ll always remember. Thank you KISS for showing respect to the national anthem, our country, and veterans that they so richly deserve!”
