The Twitter purge to cut down the amount of suspicious and fake users has costs celebrities millions of followers. Katy Perry, who's the most followed person on Twitter, lost about 3 million followers. Ellen DeGeneres lost about 2 million people and Oprah Winfrey is down 1.4 million people on Twitter. Rihanna, Shaquille O'Neal and Kim Kardashian West also saw Twitter user drops in the millions. Even Twitter's main account lost about 12 percent of their total followers.
