Hero Cyclist Finds Injured Dog, Gives Him A Lift And Finds Him A New Home
Jarrett Little was out biking with a group of friends when they came upon an injured dog who needed their help. The poor dog had been hit by a car and there was no owner to be found.
“We stopped to regroup and he came out of the woods to greet us. He was really thin, ribs showing and had a lot of road rash and a broken leg,” Little told CBS News.
That’s when Little took the dog and put him on his back…
The piggy-back ride to town led to big things for the dog, now known as Columbo. After arriving in Columbus, Georgia (the next town down the road for the cyclist), the pair were greeted by a woman named Andrea Shaw who took an immediate interest in the poor pup. She and her husband adopted the dog, paying for his care on the spot!
Now, Columbo has relocated to Maine, and is in MUCH better shape! He’s living his best life thanks to Shaw! You can follow his recovery and new life with the hashtag #adventuresofcolumbo, or find him directly on Facebook…
