Could Smelling Coffee Help You With Math?
Coffee is fuel that gets us going in the morning, but one would think you need to actually drink it to reap the benefits. A recent study found just smelling coffee can help you mentally, specifically when it comes to solving math problems. Researchers tested 100 undergraduate students with ten algebra questions. Half of the test subjects took the test in a room that smelled like coffee, and the other half took the test in an unscented room. The coffee-smelling group scored considerably higher on the test.
