Next time you log in to your email and think about popping off and sending a nasty email to someone, know the detrimental effects it could have on the recipient...and their partner.
A study out of the University of Illinois revealed that "email incivility" has detrimental consequences for the recipient but also their spouse or partner. The receiver of the passive-aggressive or downright rude message actually ends up transferring their stress partner at home. Then both halves of the couple end up subsequently withdrawing from work due to the stress.
So now you know...the dangerous consequences of a nasty email.
