President Donald J. Trump will be making a visit to the Tampa Bay Area on Tuesday, July 31st.
Mr. Trump will be in Tampa to promote and endorse U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis in the Aug. 28 Republican primary for governor. This visit makes good on a December tweet by Trump praising DeSantis.
The President will be appearing at a rally to be held at the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Trump will also make a pitch for Gov. Rick Scott‘s bid for U.S. Senate.
Governor Scott will not be able to attend the Fair grounds rally, but will appear with Trump at a school earlier in the day. The Rally for DeSantis will be Donald Trump’s 36th rally in Florida since he launched his presidential campaign back in 2015.
The President’s last visit to Florida was in April, when he visited his Mar-a-Lago property that included a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
