It's hard to imagine finding anything on the internet without using Google.

Google processes nearly 3 billion searches every day, but do we all know how to use it well? As it turns out Google has some tricks that not everyone knows.

Here are 6 tricks and hints to help you search more efficiently on the worlds largest search engine.

1. Search For An Exact Phrase In An Exact Order:

  • Put quotation marks around the specific phrase you want to search for (Ex. "to be or not to be").

2. When Searching For Flight Information Format Your Search Like This:

  • [airline] [flight number]

3. And When You Don't Know What To Search, Flip A Coin:

  • Type the following in the search box (flip a coin)

4. Search For Unknown Or Wildcard Words:

  • Type the words you know and replace the ones you don't know with an asterisk ("much * about nothing").
  • related (website)

6. Search Within A Specific Website

- site (website) (related)
