New Sneaks Inspired By Cereal?
Nike and General Mills are releasing three new limited edition pairs of basketball shoes that are based on different cereals.
According to FootWearNews.com the three cereals that will be featured are:
1. Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- These shoes will be brown and covered with swirls
2. Lucky Charms
- These shoes are bright red with have embossed pics of marshmallow shapes
3. Kix
- These shoes are a bright yellow and blue (just like the box)
The liners inside all of the shoes have pics of the actual cereal on them. The retail price for these limited edition shoes is set at $120. To actually see the shoes, click HERE.
The cereal sneakers were inspired by Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving (who is not just a fan of sneaks… but cereal too). Here is home video of Irving opening his box of new box of shoes. Nike has produced a limited edition Nike Kyrie 4 “Wheaties” colorway basketball shoes that comes housed in a giant Wheaties box.
