Ezra Shaw/Getty ImagesAfter 31 years since its debut, there are still plenty of mysteries that have gone unresolved despite the national attention the show has attracted. Mental Floss put together a list of 10 of their biggest unsolved stories.
The series, hosted first by Robert Stack, later by Dennis Farina, did have success in helping to capture fugitives. However, not all of the stories gained the same results.
Mental Floss contacted the show’s co-creators and received a list of stories that still were never solved.
They include:
The infamous D.B. Cooper hijacking of a flight from which he escaped by parachute.
The men who ‘escaped’ from Alcatraz, Frank Morris, John and Clarence Anglin. They were never heard from again. Maybe.
Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, UFO crash site. Strangely enough, NASA and Air Force won’t say what it was.
