It was a year ago today that Irma stormed through Tampa Bay. We boarded up the windows while others traveled North for safety. Q105's Mason Dixon, Bobby Rich, Paula Street, Rich Fields and Flash all showed up the following day to go on air helping people find ice, food, water, gas and batteries.

Bobby Rich always told me that it's not the hurricane, it's what happens after the hurricane and he is right. Most of us lost power for a week and you could not find a generator on sale in the entire state. I thought it was scary and it was also hard going without power for a week. So while we have Irma behind us, we're praying for everyone in the Carolina's who have Hurricane Florence headed their way.
