You hate the spam calls you get on what seems like a regular basis, but it looks as though there will be even more over the next year!

A company that provides cellular services with caller I.D. and call blocking showed an increasae in spam calls from 3.7% to 29.2% over one year. That company predicts an increase to 44.6% of all cellular calls will be spam in another year.

Lawmakers are looking into the issue which has become what First Orion Executive Vice President Scot Hambuchen calls a "big problem."

Robocalls have become more common and the tricks used to fool you into believing the call is local has been on the increase. Companies are looking to combat the calls with new technology that will recognize the spammers and block the calls.
