Las Vegas Strip Going Dark to Honor Mass Shooting Victims
The bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip will go dark on Monday night to acknowledge the one year anniversary of the tragic Country music festival mass shooting. 58 people were killed and more than 400 people were injured in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Many events to honor the victims will be held on Monday. It will culminate at 10:01 pm when the Strip turns off the lights. That was the time of the first shots at last year’s Route 91 Harvest Music Festival. At 10:05 pm, the names of the victims will be read at a Community Healing garden in downtown Las Vegas. Have your senses been heightened at outdoor festival situations since this horrific tragedy? Are you doing anything to honor the victims today?
