When he was a player, he was ranking in $30 million a year, so he was ordered to pay $115,000 a month tax free combined in spousal and child support, since he and his ex-wife, Cynthia divorced in 2008. The couple has two daughters.
The payments were supposed to be reduced when he retired from baseball. Alex is claiming that his income has dropped 90% from $30 million to now $3 million a year. Alex is claiming that his ex is taking advantage of the situation and he's paying for her lavish lifestyle of owning 3 homes and multiple cars. She also has a master's degree in psychology and chooses not to work, along with having a fiance and a third child.
Alex is fine paying for his two girls, whose expenses range between $7k-12k a month, but he is willing to pay $20k, plus expenses and tuition for the girls. But, his ex is demanding $50k a month!
