Well, living in an era of instant gratification, everyone wants what they want, and they want it NOW!
This is one of the reasons the fast food industry is so popular. But who is actually the fastest? And what exactly does that mean to us? Quality, accuracy and service are all a part of this complex equation.

Well, according to Foodbeast.com, a study done by QSR Magazine named Burger King as the fastest drive-thru chain in the country in 2018. Their overall time from pull up to exit is about 3 minutes and 13 seconds.
Impressive! But it begs the question, is it so efficient because there aren't many other customers to slow things down? Food for thought, pardon the pun.

Here are the top 10 (fastest to slowest):
- Burger King
- Dunkin Dounuts
- KFC
- Wndy's
- Taco Bell
- Arby's
- Carl's Jr.
- Hardee's
- Chick-Fil-A
- McDonalds
Overall, the average chain has a speed of 3 minutes and 54 seconds, which is actually a 9-second increase from last year. But that's still pretty good. Even at dead last McDonalds wait time was under the 5 minute mark.
So, it appears that if you like speed when ordering at a drive-through, Burger King is your #1 choice.
