Sigourney Weaver is busy filming Avatar 2 and 3, but thinks that there should be more women and minorities on set.
Weaver believes the reason behind the shortage is that the industry needs to attract new talent and not continue to use the same people.
“I think one of the frustrations is that there haven’t been enough training programs to diversify the crew community and cast community,” Weaver said. “Even if all the crews wanted to bring in a more diverse crew, more women, minorities hasn’t been prioritized.”
She says that her thoughts aren’t a slight to James Cameron, but just an observation.
