Have you ever met someone new at a gathering and then you go home and realize that Facebook suggested them as a friend? Facebook admitted they've patented a new technique so the app can recommend strangers as friends when you’re in their proximity.

I went to lunch with a friend over the weekend who I hadn’t seen in a long time. We don’t interact on social media with one another and as soon as I looked at my social media after we departed, she was the first picture in my feed. So Facebook may claim they just patented it, but seems to be in full effect on my phone already!
