The couple who have been married for over 20 years have two children together, 20-year-old son Elliot and 6-year-old daughter Helen.
De Niro and Hightower haven’t been living together and are expected to make the announcement official this week according to TMZ. The couple married in 1997 after dating for over ten years.
Robert filed for divorce two years after they wed in 1999 but they didn’t go through with it. De Niro and Hightower met in 1987 when Hightower worked as a waitress at Mr. Chow in London.
