George Herbert Walker Bush has died. Details are just now coming out.

He is survived by Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and George.

The former president went for treatment for a blood infection in April, two days after the funeral for former first lady Barbara Bush.

His health had been declining over the past few months.

Before becoming President, Bush had been a World War II naval aviator. After his discharge from the military, he went on to study at Yale University.

He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1966. After serving two terms, he served in other positions including U.S. Ambassador to the UN and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. After serving two terms as Vice President under President Ronald Reagan, Bush was elected President in 1988.
