How many times have you seen A Charlie Brown Christmas? Here are a few things you may not have known about this Christmas classic!

Charles M. Schulz wasn't so interested in making an animated special. In fact, he hadn't wanted to allow any of his characters to be animated, but gave in for Ford commercials in the early 1960's.

Schulz was only fronted $76,000 to produce the half-hour special. Lee Mendelson was the executive producer and picked the music for the production. Schulz hated jazz.

When an executive for Coca-Cola visited the Lee Mendelson, he nearly nixed the project because it looked like a disaster. Aren't you glad they let them finish?
