If you have a child with a late summer birthday, you may have pondered the question: Should I hold him or her back or push them ahead? These findings make a case for starting them later.

A new study has found that children who start school earlier than their classmates are more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD.

It's explained by study lead author as follows: "Our findings suggest the possibility that large numbers of kids are being over-diagnosed and overtreated for ADHD because they happen to be relatively immature compared to their older classmates in the early years of elementary school."
