Epiphany Cross Dive: Only Open To Boys? Is It Time To Change?

Spring Bayou has hosted the cross dive for Epiphany for over a century, and it has always been for boys only.

As tradition goes with St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the boy who surfaces with the cross gets a year of good luck.

Discussions have been taking place from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in support of girls participating in the cross dive.
