Jason Reitman, son of director Ivan Reitman, who gave us Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters 2 (1989), will take the torch from his father to bring us this new movie.
The movie is set to begin production this summer and Sony Pictures expects the release date to be summer of 2020.
This production is to be the next chapter from the original movies.
No names have been released as cast members. Director Jason Reitman has been nominated for four Oscars.
